Vacation Outfit Ideas?

OK, so the trip is coming up shortly. I will be going to Florida for the week of Thanksgiving!

In looking at the current temps and the average temps for that week, it seems like it will be high 70's/80's and lows in the 60's or 50's.

I have been trying to figure out how to pack a versatile, stylish wardrobe that meets my requirements.

It needs to be very stylish and put-together: I am meeting the new sister-in-law. she's gorgeous and my age. I would love to make a great impression! Also, I will be living with the IN-LAWS!

NO HEELS. I will be with the family and hubby, which means I am NOT wearing any kind of heel (I am only a couple inches shorter than the hubby). This will be difficult for picking pants and shoes to bring, since most are long length and most of my shoes are heels.

Not overly dressy: Casual hanging out, shopping, eating dinner in. No need for fancy clothes.

Clothing that works well together and layers well! I need to be prepared for COLD as well as HOT. I also want to pack as minimally as possible.

I will post possible outfits and see what you all have to say. :)

Does anyone have any inspirational pictures (of yourselves or others) where you can give me an outfit idea? I am NOT bringing a dress- but anything else is welcome and appreciated! I just have a hard time with casual stylish as a whole- I don't do casual very well. I also don't do well with super warm weather- I end up in a tank and jeans!

I am going to Arizona about the same time and have the same dilemma. I am going with dresses, honestly, because I can do them up or down, add a sweater or undertop if it's cool, and throw on tights before I get on the plane to head back.

I'll put together some outfits on my own blog this weekend as ideas. :)

aww thank you! I wish I could go with dresses, but I only own 2, one formal and one pretty sundress. I rarely wear dresses or skirts, so I didn't want the hubs to be all 'wtf???' ;) besides, I wanted a more casual cool vibe, and the two dresses are not the vibe I wanted... the sundress is more sweet, has a more vintage style, something for a nice picknic!

Hmm this is kind of difficult. Cardigans, tanks, light weight long sleeve tees, blouses, anything you can layer would be good for warm days and chillier nights. Maybe some jeans or even a pair of shorts and a skirt could work if you have some layers up top. I hope you find some ideas, but whatever you do I know you'll look just fabulous!
